OUR CORE VALUES = JESUS.
THROUGH HIS LIFE, WE BELIEVE JESUS SHOWED US HOW TO LOVE, GROW, AND SERVE.
'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' - Matthew 22:37
'but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.’ - 2 Peter 3:18
'If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.’ - John 12:26
As Christ followers we seek to glorify God and enjoy his goodness as we collectively fulfill the Great Commission (Matt.28:18-20), and live out the Great Commandments (Matt. 22:34-40)
Exalt God through reverent passionate worship. (Psalm 148:13)
Equip one another through preaching, teaching, and seminars. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)
Edify one another by serving, growing, and mentoring one another in love. (1 Cor 12-13; 2 Peter 3:18)
Encourage one another by our mutual faith in Christ. (Romans 1:12) and ministerial partnership in the local church. (Hebrews 10:25)
Evangelize our world both personally and corporately through supporting missions. (Colossians 1:5-6; Mathew 9:37-38)
As a church family we seek to follow the early church (Acts 6:4) by being diligent bible students and prayer warriors. We seek to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24), and liveout our faith by serving with our spiritual giftedness. We also seek to give back to Jesus what is rightfully his (2 Cor. 9:6-15),as well as mentor disciples along their Christian walk.
WEBC has a rich long history dating back to the early 1910s. For over 110 years WEBC has been a beacon of light faithfully proclaiming the gospel message of Jesus love in the North Walkerville area. Through the years many faithful leaders have served as Pastors, deacons, and church officers. Many people have come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through WEBC Church’s preaching, teaching, ministries, and missionaries. In most recent days the church building experienced a horrific fire in the fall of October 2019. We were so grateful on that day that no one got hurt and that God was indeed in control. We now look forward to "New Beginnings", as we seek Gods direction and wisdom in our rebuild, so we can continue on proclaiming the mercy, love, and grace to a world so desperately in need of it.
